Sin City: A Dame To Kill For

Ainda se sabe pouco sobre a sequela de Sin City. O que parece ser certo é a realização de Robert Rodriguez e Frank Miller para este "A Dame To Kill For". Há nomes de atores confirmados como Bruce Willis, Rosario Dawson, Jessica Alba, Mickey Rourke, entre outros, e uma data, 4 de Outubro de 2013 para podermos ir ao cinema ver a estreia.

Holy Terror = Holy Crap

Não tenho muito a dizer sobre o novo livro de Frank Miller. Do que li e reli, tudo me parece unânime. As fontes são fiáveis, toda a gente as conhece. Parece-me que o senhor anda zangado e que ainda não se resolveu, como tantos outros seus compatriotas. O resultado é um livro inútil, que no inicio parecia ter pernas para andar, por ser um livro sobre o Batman e os seus inimigos, não sobre terroristas e estadunidenses.

Enfim, fica uma crítica do conceituado Newsarama, que casca forte numa mente outrora brilhante, mas que anda por meandros obscuros. Ora leiam:

"Holy Terror is a mean and ugly book. It's a cartoonist lashing out at an easy and broad target without seemingly understanding the target. The book doesn't look at the villains in any way or explore the differences between Muslims and terrorists. It's not even concerned about defining the heroes and villains in any terms other than "right" and "wrong." Holy Terror is a book about anger and pain that is blind to anything other than revenge. There's no attempt to define the villains beyond the fact that they don't look Iike you and me. Holy Terror isn't a book that tries to be real. It just wants to lash out, thinking that that is the only response to the attacks of 10 years ago."

Xerxes - Frank Miller

Parece que Frank Miller está a trabalhar na prequela de 300.
Xerxes, será o nome do título. Sabe-se que a trama se desenrola 10 anos antes do tempo em que 300 é contado e que tem inicio na batalha de Maratona. Ficaremos a saber de onde vem o ódio de Xerxes em relação aos gregos: a derrota do seu pai às suas mãos. E que a história terminará quando 300 começa.
Mas temos de esperar um ano para ver o resultado desta labuta. Estejam atentos! Entretanto, podem ler a entrevista de Frank Miller ao LA Times aqui.

Não há uma sem duas. Assim sendo, aqui está novamente o duo de L.A., com o mesmo tema "Tear You Apart", em versão de adaptação (principalmente) a Sin City, mas também com excertos de "Kill Bill" e não só. Talvez haja uma 3ª vez...

É verdade meus amigos. O preço é bom, o conteúdo são 5 estrelas. Directamente de uma das maiores e melhores lojas online, com destino a Portugal, para a estante do je. Esta colecção completa está disponível pelo preço quase irrisório de 63€ e qualquer coisa! Basta fazerem as contas. São 7 livros de Frank Miller, 7 livros da colecção Sin City em edição de capa mole, mas sem que isso lhe retire pitada de qualidade. Claro que está em inglês, mas isso é quase o mesmo que português para quem está habituado a acompanhar séries originais mensalmente. Deixo-vos o link para a descrição do produto, com opiniões de vários compradores, o que pode ser um bom auxílio para quem está com dúvidas. Penso que esta foi a minha compra do ano, no que diz respeito a BD, pela relação qualidade/preço. Prós, já se percebeu que são muitos. Contras, com sorte escapam aos 10€ ou 11€ da alfandega. Por ventura mencionei que o preço acima referido já inclui portes de envio? ;)

Frank Miller na 7ªArte

A maioria das pessoas que navegam, são informadas e nutrem interesse por este tipo de coisas, já têm conhecimento de tudo aquilo que está exposto mais abaixo. Mas no meio de tanta informação, por vezes escapam-nos certos pormenores. Espero que descubram alguma novidade, pois é essa a intenção.

Ansiosamente esperados por muitos fãs da 7ª e 9ªArte, “300” e “Sin City 2”, são obras que já fazem parte da história da Banda Desenhada mundial. Da autoria de Frank Miller, os filmes prometem muito a nível visual, ou não fossem ambos adaptações de BD. “300”, com data de estreia marcada para o final deste ano, retrata a heróica e trágica batalha de Termópolis, quando um grupo de elite Espartano comandado pelo Rei Leónidas bloqueia a invasão do exército Persa, vindo do norte da Grécia. Muita acção está prometida, mas o resto é história, ou seja, temos de aguardar e ver para crer. O elenco do filme conta com o brasileiro Rodrigo Santoro no papel de Xerxes, o Imperador Persa. Quanto a “Sin City 2”, temos sequela. Para quem leu os livros e viu o primeiro filme, este 2º número ficará certamente marcado pelo mesmo estilo. Grandes cenários a fazer lembrar o original dos livros, os tons a p/b contrastando com os rasgos de cor súbitos, bons actores, boas interpretações (Mickey Rourke de regresso ao seu melhor, finalmente), ou seja, a maioria dos escolhidos para o 1º filme está de regresso, numa acção que essencialmente trata o livro “A Dame to Kill For”. Nancy Callahan será o centro das atenções, facto já confirmado pelo próprio Miller. Correm ainda rumores de que Angelina Jolie possa dar vida a uma das personagens. Cartazes para este filme nem vê-los, se bem que já existem hipóteses. Estreia a 30 de Março.
